I recently inherited this gun and am looking for as much information as I can find about it. It's quite beautiful and all original. It is a 20 gauge O/U with 28 in. barrels. I know that the value is probably several thousand on the low end, but it would be great if anyone knows what the value of this specific gun might be. Wow - and a subgauge to boot. Sideplated boxlock? I don't see any pins on the sideplates.
The VR seems particularly unusual - I might have expected to see that if it were a 12 ga. trap gun, but not on a 20 ga field gun. Do you have any other specs for the gun?
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.

Looks like a set of crossed sidearms on lower tube just forward of fore lug?
