I bought a 28 gauge 4/53 at the Cabela's in Hamburg, PA about 6 weeks ago. 29" barrels and the full coverage banner and scroll engraving with a coin finish on the receiver. Went in to buy a pair of boots and found it new in box but marked down in the Gun Library. Fit me very well, so it came home with me. It's already become one of my favorites, but that was one darned expensive pair of boots.
I was all set, check in hand, to buy one of the NECG special 4/53's like that, but I couldn't bring myself to buy a new one. My favorite shotgun is always the next one, and I couldn't believe the depreciation.
