Raimey,

Photo # 9 on the Gun Auction listing for this one (see link on 1st page) clearly shows a nice radius where the action flats meet the standing breech.

Is that the radius you are referring to?

Battle
I have your guns big sister A 10 Ga. This gun is a work in progress Same type of issues. I Paid about the same as did you. Only my gun has Pits in the first 10 In. broken stock, Some of stock parts missing, tangs and trigger guard bent. and buggered screws. This is the way I'am going to fix. Find someone to fix the screws, and I can restock the gun I have made the DOH at 2 In. with a Monte Carlo. 3/8 cast off. and original horn butt plate. I will take the gunstock to a duplicator first of September. I have several pieces of wood to use for stock. Must pick out one. Have French and English, and american walnut. This old gun is a shooter and it shoots good. Good luck with your project.
David

David,

Love the old Leica rangefinder. A 3f?

Looks like you are well on your way with your Prussian Daly.

Battle was fortunate the screws on his are so nice, they look untouched.

I at first didnt see a crack towards the head. Further inspection i see a hair line carck rear of the repair. I'd guess they were able to close any crack up which now is invisible.

With the S in a Chevron & the initials RS(if that is what is near the lower rib on the underside of the left tube) then the tubes were sourced from the Schilling forge and Robert Schlegelmilch was the tubeset knitter. I'd say the rest was performed inhouse by H.A. Lindner's mechanic pool.

No worries on the radius as it was just a point for measurement. How long was the water table/action flats?
