To each their own. It sounds as if this gentleman had a lot of disposable income and wanted Model 21's. Maybe his bought other expensive toys also.

A lot of different people collect a lot of different things for a lot of different reasons. What indifferent person coined this very true phrase ?

Canvasback...all three Invincibles are in the NRA collection so don't worry, your money is safe.
The owner indeed helped keep the USRAC custom shop going for a good deal of time as he had many guns custom built by them. It helped some of us poor engravers survive also!

So its not just my preference for Fox over Parker that is keeping them out of my clutches? Damn! LOL

One needs to remember that when the owner started collecting Model 21s that the prices of same were going up by a quite high percentage each year. I'm sure the owner noticed that "last year's" gun was a good investment.

Bill's collection has been offered as a total sale for a number of years now. Obviously there have been no takers. I know of no other collection of any type of double shotgun like Bill's. For a Custom Shop Model 21 buyer, this sale represents a great opportunity as the sale will depress Custom Shop Model 21 prices for years to come. Got to order the catalog, sell stock etc ect!-Dick

Well, I know you had a web site which you shut down, but what other than that makes you such an authority to make such a statement? It was said with such force and certainty that an omnipotent Yahweh couldn't have done better. I guess we will see if you are right, but I'm guessing the Custom Shop 21's won't come down in value, but that the Galazan reproductions and the outright fraudulent or fake 21's produced, will markedly depreciate in value.
Socialism is almost the worst.
