mel5141 and WTS, THANKS! in reading what little info I have (old shooter's bibles) I had not picked up on the fact that the comp I was a distinct model and not just a version of the mx-8. I thought the basic action design was the determinate of the model. yes, it does have the shark gill porting and I had assumed the first time I looked at it that the chokes were totally screwed up as a choke gage went all the way in but after looking it up I realized they came that way for a reason. this one's nice, shows almost no use, still has most of the cheezy perazzi "case coloring", no blue wear on the trigger guard, good checkering, etc. has quite decent wood for a perazzi, not as good as the trap gun I used to have but not as drab as many seem to have, and has the factory hard case. comb is dead straight, something like 1-11/16" drop at nose and heel both. have still not had a chance to shoot it. I wish someone would write a good book on perazzi's like the superposed, m21, etc. but it'd probably cost a fortune.
