Some do, and some don't. This is a shoot where you can go either way and feel quite comfortable. It is also a shoot that has ranged from very hot to very cold weather in years past, so be prepared for either. Keith

The weather should be in the 80's this year. The dress code is rather open but most people just dress casual. Ken

"Tweed" is very likely to be overly warm. However, you will likely see a number of adaptations of the "tweed" shooting attire style. For example, you are likely to see chino slacks converted to + fours, thin knee socks, light/thin tattersal patterned shirts (with tie in the cool of the morning and open collar in the afternoon), mesh shooting vests or no vest, and straw flat hats. Safari works well, also. Keep in mind that this is a bit of a costume party for those so inclined; bit lower key than the VC. Wear whatchagot, come and have fun.

I was there last year and I saw a "standard distribution" on clothing ... most of the shooters had on decent dress type clothes, some on either end of the range were in breeks, or in shorts. Like others said - wear whatever you're comfortable in. Silvers
I AM SILVERS, NOT SLIVER = two different members. I'm in the northeast, the other member is in MT.

As mentioned above, dress is "optional." The weather should be perfect this year, with a 30% chance of showers on Friday and temperatures 78-80. Saturday and Sunday are supposed to be dry and sunny. The local paper ran a story this morning on the event. http://www.newsobserver.com/802/story/567716.htmlThe writer did a nice, really big artical a couple of years ago. Apparently he's really into shotguns. I look forward to seeing all of you in attendance and especially my friends from SC, AL, and Ontario. We'll have our "annual" dinner with Walt Snyder, a nearby resident.

Light 'Safari' jacket, silk shirt, chinos and Merrell walking shoes. PB 'Woodcock' jacket and hat just in case it rains.
