I've seen 1700's air powered repeaters, and they had all the problems one would expect, pre-Viton. But an electrically ignited shotgun? WooHoo!
Piezo would be erratic, and batteries had a very short life, and low voltage outputs, in big cases.
I just gotta see how this was done!
