Remington EtronX was an electric primer system for model 700 rifles.
I understood them to be a settlement stemming from gun control legislation. Not a more accurate, superior ignition system,
There were electric muzzle loaders as well,
As I recall, because they could be made impossible to fire with the turn of a key, they were an acceptable pre-cursor to mandatory gun locks.
Handloaders claim that because of the unique trigger, and instantaneous lock time, the guns possess great accuracy potential.
I was always worried about ammo availability.
All that's fairly recent, but as I am a collector of vintage flashlights and lanterns, I have an interest in early battery designs.
I find it difficult to believe that a cartridge could be reliably fired with early battery technology.
Please post any available drawings from those early patents if possible.
