Just got home, 7:20 PM EDT and the board is way faster than it has been in a few weeks. Perhaps Dave has got the upgrades done he alluded to in his thread.

Some changes implemented but no updates yet. Three looming issues.....Microsoft spider appears to be stuck on our site and keeps scanning a bunch of ports all the time...I have modified robots.txt file and it seems to help some.
Also, still getting a bunch of fraudulent registrations.....about a hundred a night....eating resources. These appear to be automated bots and are faster than any human can be....I have banned several more domains and this appears to help too.
Curretly out of the loop on real job business back in the saddle in a couple plane flights....Hope to begin updates soon.

Well Dave, we certainly do appreciate all the work you do to keep this site up and running. I can't imagine the PITA it must be to constantly fight the spammers, fraudulent stuff. You deserve a metal!

What we need to do is execute a couple spammers or hackers in the public square. Might send a message to the rest of those who think it's fun and games to mess with people on the Net. Or better yet . . . send them to prison for about 10 years with no access to computers.
