Using QUALITY reclaimed shot, clean shot,
No issue as long as the shot has been properly washed, culled of any gravel or stones, and checked with a magnet for any steel shot, re-graphited and tumbled.

p.s. I use a shot cup in front of a nitro wad and filler wads in my brass shotshells,
seems to work just fine.
You are using Black powder?

+1 for what Mike said. The shop where I get mine has a jar showing what the shot looks like. And the shot in the bag looks the same. So just be careful when buying. If possible have the shop owner or staff show you some of their shot. Most stores won't allow returns on open bags of shot. Other than that, for just fun shooting, reclaimed shot is much cheaper and just as good as new shot.

Good Luck!!!!
