Not exactly, Franc. There are only two rules relative to the For Sale forum: 1. No option to add posts. (I'm not quite sure what that means, because almost every listing has additional posts.) 2. No negotiations. Asking questions, clarifying information, etc isn't negotiating. If you're negotiating price with the seller, that should be done by PM. But we can all learn, share knowledge etc on the For Sale forum just as we can here. And IMO, it's a particularly good place to do that, because the posts typically include a pretty detailed description of the gun in question, often with photos.
