I had an AYA Matador 10ga bored to a tight 8ga with 4" chambers by Stan Baker. It shot 2 5/8 oz loads of B shot with ease. I also used it for steel shot at 1 7/8oz . I shot the B shot at Greater Sandhill Cranes, very impressive performance. Then it was stolen,Ah Crap

What would like to know when the Spanish stop putting 10ga, on the 8ga.frame?Also did any of the European countries make Wilderfowler shotguns?Karl mention that may try fit 8ga barrels to a 10ga., and what tge measurement to make this conversion?

I have a 1965 catalogue of Giuseppe TONOLINI from Brescia and there are two "Spingarde"=Puntgun=Entenflinte, a 4G Single barrel and a 8G Double: Note the weight…!!! Kind regards, Gunwolf

We would love to see the pages of that catalog that show the four and eight gauge guns. The importer of the eight gauge hammer guns was Navy Arms, as I recall.
