This is my first post on this board. I discovered the wealth of knowledge on here yesterday while searching for info on a shotgun my Grandpa has. His father brought it home from World War II. We know that it is an Anciens Establissment double barrel shotgun. Boxlock. It has Bayard barrels, as both are stamped with the knight, and it has "pours poudres vives" written on the barrel which indicates it is possibly from the French market? My grandpa is interested in finding the manufacture date. However, I cannot find the date code. I feel for certain I am looking at it but just don't know it. I have pictures and will share them if someone could kindly explain how I get them from photobucket onto here

As others have stated, it is a Pieper gun, made after his death. It will not have a date code, because it was made made before they came into use.
Post pictures of the gun and the proof marks.
