Recently a Western Arms Long Range Gun in 16 ga came my way for a song because it was missing many of its internals. As I had a 20 ga LRG receiver at home, I grabbed the 16 in hopes of building one piece out of two. I gave everything to my gunsmith buddy to work his magic. A week later he handed me a fully functional (and quite nice) 16 ga double. He also told me that, #1. The 16's missing internals were found under the buttplate in the stock hollow. #2. The 16 had originally been a single trigger piece. (Never knew they made one.) #3. One of the original firing pins in the 16 was broken. And #4. No matter how long he looked at the parts, he was totally unable to figure out how they were supposed to go together. Nothing made sense.

Searching here tonight, I have learned the internals of the Ithaca Lefever and the Ithaca Western Arms are virtually the same - for double triggers. But what about the Long Range Gun with a single trigger? Can anyone point me in the right direction to enlightnment on how this contraption is supposed to be assembled?

Thanks,
Tom

Tom:

No schematic, but here's a couple of photos from a single trigger 16 ga Nitro Special which may be of help to you. Interesting, I have never had my hands on a single trigger Western Arms.
