As far as comparing Brits/Britain to us? Please dont. No offense to you personaly but as Winnie said, two different peoples seprated by a common language. Oh yeah, dont forget all the firearms private citizend sent to Britain before our involvement in WW2. Yes, they were privately owned, and many of them handguns. So you could defend your country in the event of the "impending invasion".
