Smallbore, ever since Breat Britain passed thei landmark firearms act in 1929; the law that would reduce crime forever, Britain has had an increase in violent crime every year since.

As far as comparing Brits/Britain to us? Please dont. Unfortunately the once resolute and steadfast Tommy is no more; as evidenced in the circus after the 15 Brits made propagda videos, were released, sold stories to the papers and embraced their former captors in print. And on top of that they felt it was futile to resist prior to capture or before. One former prisoner even said he would love to go back for a visit. Well, I guess I owuld too,; in the turret of an M2A3 Bradley!!!!!

So, please, dont compare us to your "people" . I am an American, a gun owner, a hunter, carry concealed and have the right to. I will excercise that right whenever I want. I dont display any tendancies to be violent and having acccess to firearms doesnt make me or anyone else so.

No offense to you personaly but as Winnie said, two different peoples seprated by a common language. Oh yeah, dont forget all the firearms private citizend sent to Britain before our involvement in WW2. Yes, they were privately owned, and many of them handguns. So you could defend your country in the event of the "impending invasion".

as was said by I cant remeber whio, "he who sacrifices liberty for security has neither."

and " an armed society is a polite society".
