The NRA is the only game in town.(with the organization and political muscle). The wannabes don't even come close. They serve mainly to divide gun owners who do care enough to dig into their pockets to support the fight, while accomplishing little, if anything for our cause. Worst of all are the freeloaders who don't support any of the gun groups, usually justifying their apathy with some nonsense like "I don't like the NRA. They keep sending me solicitations for money". BULLCRAP! If you don't want to, or can't afford to contribute anything beyond your NRA dues, just throw the solicitations in the trash. We all throw unwanted junk mail in the trash every day. We(the NRA) need all the people in our numbers we can get. The US has a reported 80,000,000 gun owners. 4,000,000 of them are NRA members. 5% of the gunowners are carrying the load in the fight to keep our guns. The other 95% are do-nothing freeloaders. Can you even imagine how Congress would treat the NRA if our membership was 40,000,000???? Half of the gun owners? They'd call NRA Hq. every morning to see what they could do for us today. Even the Democrats would love us!
