I received a 'Certificate of Inspection' for each barrel, for both MPI and Radiography from TEAM Industrial Services, accredited to NADCAP and AS9100 Quality System, and each procedure was reviewed with the Operations Manager, Level III, FRSO.
I think we both agree that someone with a special interest, and expertise, would need to review radiography on a hundred or so barrels to understand the significance of what is seen on the digital images. AND the abnormalities would then need a metallurgical examination to confirm what they are.
I believe however that, with some more study, both MPI and radiography may prove to be complementary components of Pattern Welded barrel evaluation.
