If the stock is bendable but at risk with a semi-pistol grip you could possibly resculpt it into a straight stock like I did with a Rossi SXS that I put up several years ago on this board as my Sows Ear Project. The only tools it took to was a sharp pocket knife and sandpaper. You could then bend it after resculpting it. I will admit though, those Brazilians at Rossi gave me a lot of wood to work with
