Has anyone heard of replacement barrels made by a company by the name of London gun? or something similar.
Also who could I speak with that might be able to give me a cost to take a set of barrels in the white that have not been chambered and finished and have them fit to a gun. What would be the value of a set of barrels in the white be?

Connecticut Shotgun (Galazan)is the only outfit I can think of who can make you a set of barrels to your liking. What you will not like is the price to do so. JR

I have an opportunity to purchase some model 21 barrels. From my understanding they are in the white. They have not been chambered or choked. I understood they were manufactured years ago by a company call London gun here in the states. I am going to go look at them this week. I am hoping to find out what it would cost to complete these barrels.

Take some good measuring tools. It would be good to know the bore diameter, choking, and wall thickness. Take note of the machining that has been performed in regards to the locking surfaces. Take a bunch of pictures. With that info whoever your smith is will be able to give you a much clearer idea of what it will take to get them fit up. Best of luck. Steve

Yes, back in the late 1970s-early 80s in California, there was a company called London Arms or something like that. If my memory is correct, they were mentioned and advertised their location in Gun Digest. Regardless, the company was held in high regard for the work and products they provided. I think their M21 barrels were sourced from overseas...I do not remember that the barrels were manufactured in the US. I personally would pursue and examine the barrels; then make a decision.

Any estimates on what a fair price of a set of sub gauge barrels in the white would be?

London guns was in Santa Monica. Phil Brown was one of the owners and a master gunsmith. He did make some barrels for model 21's. I remember him showing me his first set of 410 barrels they were masterfull. We remained friends for years. Shot pigeons togather at Cota. He closed the store after his partner died. He continued doing gunsmithing at his home in Santa Barbra. But did projects for his own pleasure. The last project he worked on was a model 21 barrel that he had made and he had just developed fixture to mimic factory style rib. He passed about three years ago. He was a grand person and had a gun nuts dream shop with 4 milling machines, 3 lathes, a sunnen hone with special arbors for each gage. The shop was huge! I miss him and his grand smile. All the barrels are long gone. John Mc

When people come together for the reasons this board was created, it is simply an incredibly good place.
