As a member of the British Falconer's Club, a gunsmith and an enthusiastic Gun (hunter), my allegiances lie in the gray area between the factions and I cringe when listening to the polarized views of the pro- and anti- avian predator cliques.
I feel much the same way about four legged predators.
Agreed, with the mess that humans have made of ecological balance, some rebalancing is often necessary but eradicating predator species so that we can have the fun of killing their prey is not justifiable IMHO.
