Sorry for very late request - but recently just returned from a spell vegetating in Florida.
I'm looking for any information, catalogs, flyers etc regarding Tobin Arms of American and Canadian manufacture. Also (Tobin related) anything relating to G.B. Crandall or Crandall Arms (Canada). I have the Double Gun Journals with "Researcher"'s Tobin articles and a fairly recent repro Tobin catalog.
The Lyman "Alaskan" telescopic sight - its service in the US and Canadian forces. Also wanted any "W5" info on the 1942/43 US testing and the evaluation procedures that resulted in the adoption and US Ordnance "type classification" of the Lyman Alaskan scope as the M73.
Regarding info on the Lyman Alaskan, I have all the Senich books, the Skennerton books, the Springfield books by Brophy and Campbell and American Rifleman from 1935 to present.
Any Tobin material or snippet of info on the Lyman Alaskan/M73 testing and adoption would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
