By the way did you happen to notice of 762 threads most all are from few members with well over 2500 threads? Apparently little to say but lots to mouth.

Yeh and Dave says you shouldn't sell your pumpgun or mini-14 on the sale board but it's been done. Rules are for the unruly and we all know they ain't us! Type in capslok if you wish, hell, type with ten fingers--doesn't bother me.

Jim, I knew that you knew but I'm still a bit touchy about what happened to him. I'd be devastated to find that my writing was acceptable as long as it did not ruffle a publication's readers or advertizers. Those publications only wrap boilerplate around the advertizing. It's vanity publishing and writing. Regards, King

I still say, interest or not, this is the wrong forum to vent this topic. It is "The Double Gun Forum", and Dave says "Stay on the Subject".
Or can't I read English as well as you

I have no problem to take up with your father, Mike. You're the one who didn't listen to him. I agree with him. However, you've posted 5 times so far, on this thread that you dislike so much. Your posts on the subject have contributed nothing but whining and complaining about what others are talking about. What part of "pass it by" don't you understand?
We have off topic posts here all the time. If you don't like them, zip on by.

Well, since it started out with Zumbo and Imus . . .

The only part of the analogy that's accurate is that they both got fired for something they wrote/said. The big difference is, Zumbo's own "fan base" (gun owners) went after him. His case is more analogous to the Dixie Chicks, whose fans voted with their feet. Wasn't Imus' fans who got him fired.

As someone else mentioned earlier . . . where did Imus pick up that language? From the rappers! Comes out of the blacks' own, self-destructive culture. Heard a black female professor from Vanderbilt comment that it was far more hurtful to her when she hears a black man referring to nappy-headed hos than when it comes from "some jerk like Imus". She's exactly right. Sharpton and Jackson, if they want to do something really worthwhile, ought to be tackling a much tougher target than Imus: gangsta rap, and what that music is doing to the black community. That's what they ought to be pushing to get banned from the airwaves.

I forgave Zumbo, as I'm sure many other gun folks will over time.

Although it was a stupid comment, I don't think Imus should have been fired.

Al Sharpton is nothing more than a modern day carnival huckster. When is he going to apologize to the Duke players?

If people in the entertainment industry are going to get fired for saying stupid, offensive comments, when is Rosie going?

Kind regards,

And others have nothing to say but post 5 times to prove it.

We all have benefited substantially from the advice coming from those members with over 2500 posts!!!! I know I have and most of us "junior" members would probably say the same thing.

Sorry Mr. Legg, I can no longer edit that message, so lets pretend I typed "... deposited a 'squirty one' where he ate."
