I'm wondering what I could get for my Parker Repro 28" 28g/CSM 410 set. Both barrels are 28", Single trigger. It's been hunted, some small hunting rash, colors are half gone. What do you think the market would go on this gun? Tony effectively stopped selling the barrels, from what I can tell. I've only heard of 2 others that got the .410 barrels.

Factory Repro 28/410 sets are out of sight. Don't know how Galazan vs original 2nd barrel set would impact the price. Straight/splinter/DT configuration would likely add some vs ST.

Do you have an original Parker Repro 2-bbl. case to go with it?

IMHO, your gun alone without the .410 barrels would bring $4k to $4.5K as you've described it. The .410 barrels should add more than what you originally paid for them, I would guesstimate $2.5K to $3K and I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't find someone that thought they were a value at $3500. So therefore, I would think somewhere between $6500 and $8000.

There is a 28 two barrels set, both 26" 28 ga on gunbroker right now. Price 4725 with nine hour to go. I would rather have 28" than 26" but some go the other way. When the hammer falls I expect it to sell for 6-7 plus. It is pristine from the photos and most of the bidding for this type of set seems to happen in the last few minutes of the auction as one bidder or another try to swoop in and steal it.

Having a 28 / .410 set with 28" barrels should bring more than a 28 two barrel set. Do you have a for end for the .410 barrels set? You just do see them every day but one, with 26" barrels and two for ends was listed on Gunbroker again for months on end but never sold. It ranged from 11,500-12,500. Dealers seem to be willing to troll for a long time and then deal in person if a buyer has real money in hand which never gives you the selling price just the trolling price.

Back to your question a composed set with two for ends should be 7,500-8,000 range. I would not sell it for less unless I had a pressing need which I hope you never have. And if given the choice of 26" or 28" I pick 28" every time. But he market is what you get and if you get a buyer who wants is a lot you might get more.

What about the 50% color part?

Parker guys seem to be more concerned with CC % than any other aspect of the gun.

Is it the same with the repro crowd?

Chuck, what is your opinion of the quality of the barrels, the rib matting, and the fitting?

the barrels appear to be of high quality. They print where they're pointed. The finish and workmanship is excellent. The matting lightly impressed compared to the factory barrel. The fit was done by Les Pittman and could pass for factory fit.

Well? I didn't follow the auction. Did it reach your estimate? Galazans has a 28/410 set for $10,400 on right now.

The case color on the repros it not very durable. They seem to fall off just looking at it. In my opinion Repros are not "collectible" per se. They are reproductions, as such does not have any collectible value IMHO.
