So we do not still know what kind of 2 7/8 gun you will be using and you want us to provide you a load that will not injure you or the gun?

And aren't 2's a bit small for pass shooting geese?

I may shoot the loads in the Beretta and 2s are fine for snow geese pass shooting.
I shot a number of them in SD last spring with 1 oz of 2s in my 12 ga 2 3/4 guns.
Pattern kills and if all get there the same time the birds come down dead. However I don't shoot at everything that comes by. The Alliant Steel powder for 2 3/4 12 ga had some of the lowest pressures I have seen for steel shot. Thats mainly why I am looking. I think the bigger hole is better for steel in my comparisons for pattern testing that I did when steel shot 1st came out.

Don't expect to find 1Ľoz loads for the 10 with the same pressure as 1oz for a 12. Bore capacity of a 10 is only about 13% more than for a 12, so for comparative loads you are only looking at 1 1/8oz in the 10 to be equal to 1oz in the 12. 1Ľoz loads in the 10 are more comparable to 1 1/8oz in the 12.
