Just today as I was sitting around trying desperately not to Scratch I picked up my reprint edition of the 1908 Sears Catalog & was reading on the A J Aubrey Shotguns. In several places I encountered the term "Water Table" but not once Actin Flats. Had it not been for this thread I likely would not even have noticed.
Thank You Wonko for bringing it so graphically to my attention.
Perhaps its use is confined to Americans, So What. The fact that I say Screwdriver & the British say Turnscrew does not make either of us wrong or Moronic.
