Any maker some of you might have an interest in that we have not covered here?
Maybe others could start a thread about a maker I don't know about or something different like single-shot makers.

... or something different like single-shot makers. Please! I'm about to start another Low/Highwall stock and I would love to see unique treatments of cheek pieces and grips, esp the former. Brent

The only custom high-wall I have is a Shelhamer-Niedner, if you like I can take better pictures, no cheek piece.

Here is a factory stocked high-wall with a Niedner barrel.

Anything on Gartman or Johnson-Gartman, from the 50's & 60's era?

mmmm, very well stocked. Though quite like a Special Sporting Grade (or is it Special Rifle Grade?) factory Winchester. I am very interested in shapes of cheekpieces and what one things are the advantages or disadvantages of various versions. For instance, I really like this one and I'm thinking of stealing a good part of it. But I am always open to other creative ideas and suggestions.

Here's something I have wondered about- did Harry Pope do a lot of the stocking on the rifles he built or was it 'farmed out' or arranged by the customer after the barrel/metal work was done? Pics of rifles stocked by the wizard himself would be appreciated. (I'm in the mood for re-visiting some single shot masterpieces.)
