as to price; I agree. Since they aren't gun people I suspect they either picked a generic blue book value or the local FFL gave them a SWAG. Good thing is they don't Usually have reserved prices and it will sell for $25 if that is all that is bid.

I know of a pair of genuine Frank Loyd Wright chairs that sold for $25. I've also seen a few pieces of high quality unmolested 18th century furniture (generically described due to lack of provenance/documentation) go from $25 opening bid to over $6,000 with aggressive international phone bids.

The gun is just an interesting item that turned up in the mix. I couldn't buy it for $400 these days but just find these things entertaining and cheaper to watch than Cable TV.
