A great buy. Don't pass it up! It's worth $12-1500 US. Maybe more to the right guy.

That seems like a good price to me. Make a nice all around gun IMO. That gun would probably sell rather easily in the $1200-1500 price range here in the States. You can't buy a Model 30 Uggie for $600 here anymore. A few years ago you could pick them up for under $500 at times.

It'll have a "year-of-proof mark" someplace on the receiver water table (or on the side of the receiver, but that's less likely in a highly engraved gun). The marking will be either a single capital letter or a letter and a number.

The key to deciphering this can be found at www.largoista.com or as a "sticky" at the beginning of the threads of the "Spanish Pistols" forum on www.gunboards.com/forums, among others.

A good gun at a good price, IMO.

I identify it as a model 75 (75-ex if it has ejectors).
Ignacio Ugartechea was a fine spanish shotgun maker (now the actual name is Armas Ugartechea) and at that price this shotgun is a complete bargain.
Buy it in a hurry! You will not be disapointed at all.

Best,

If this gun is stamped 35-03-XXXX-XX (serial number) on the barrel flats and/or watertable, the last two numbers will be the year it was built.

If the serial number is not hyphenated it then will have a date code stamped into the barrel flats with either just a letter or a letter and a number. Here's a chart to cross reference:
http://www.hallowellco.com/proof_date_codes.htm

There is a reference to this gun possibly being hand engraved. IMO, it appears to be mostly machine engraved. On the left side of the action you can see where the engraving border almost runs off the rear of the sideplate.
