Here is the first machined prototype. I used aluminum just for this test and prototype. In reality it will either be steel or horn.


The first is the outside machined (screw holes not finished for this first part) and then rough polished. The next is the hallowed out inside of the plate to remove material weight. (if horn I won't hallow out the plate as in the second pic)
The over all shape matches the Whelen plate quite closely. It is wider then the M70 which is about .100" narrower. I will probably modify the design to more reflect the M70. The cross sectional profiles are near perfect and I am very pleased with them.
