My dad had the generosity to give me a 1918 vintage Fox Sterlingworth, wood could use a bit of help, but a solid shooting and tight old Fox nonetheless. Surprisingly, the old gun has modern stock dimensions, on par with the Ithaca 37 my grandfather gave me, and less drop and slightly longer LOP than my current shooter, a '46 early Marlin era L.C. Smith. Took it out for a round of skeet and did fairly well, despite my poor quality 2 1/2" reloads from cut down remington gun club shells.
