Geo. , if you fill it with Laphroag 18 Year you can catch the smoky scent before too much is lost.

Today I received the latest issue of the german "Wild und Hund" hunting Magazine. Had a look at the small advertisements, found: "Fine Ličge Dougle Gun, 12/70, Ejectors, nice scroll engraving. - Called the number and it was only 12 Kilometers away from my home! I went there and found this belgium jewel:

Made in 1929, very good condition…..
I snatched at the offer (for a real christmas price) and had my personal Christmas Tale…. :-)

Any comments to the engraving (all over the whole action, both sides and bottom side) are welcome! More pictures available in 2014.
Best Regards,

Franc, thanks for your kind words - it was 290 EUR……………In Germany nearly nobody appreciates this fine old guns and so you only have to be watchful…!
I won`t know the price of this engraving in that time. A real beautiful gun and I can`t say "No"…..

Only shotgun related in that it will bring coyotes and other predators in range of my 3 1/2" 12ga firing dead coyote T shot. I got a Fox Pro Wildfire predator call with remote control and a motorized bird like attraction on it. Hope to improve the numbers this year on antelope and fawn eaters. Have to ask for a couple packs of the Dead Coyote loads for Father's day. Those are high dollar shells! So far I have just been driving the dogs around here nuts with it.

$5.00 per shell is right - I normally use the 3" as there is little advantage in 4 more pellets. But I have seen coyotes killed at 80 yards with them. My practice is to put a dead coyote in the chamber followed by a couple #4 buck loads. Go for the rifle shots when I see them coming; but hold the shotgun for the surprise appearances. Couple of the club members have also taken cougar with these. This predator hunting just might bring the drilling back into popularity if we can get minute of coyote accuracy to 200 yds with a scoped the rifle barrel. Carrying two guns plus the calling gear, decoy and other setup gear isn't the handiest hunting system. Thank goodness the callers have gotten much lighter/compact.

That might be hard to find- Now- Laphroaig might work- I won a fifth of that single malt and found it took the rust right smack off my Reese Hitch on my Jeep Liberty- and the rest I poured on the any hills in the expansion cracks in the driveway last August- killed them deader than snakeshit too- Me, I'll take Bushmills, Ezra Brooks, Wild Turkey 101 and George Dickel please. Scotch single malts are way over-rated and way more over-priced, IMO!!

I have an Egyptian Arabian horse ranch in the middle of a National Forest here in Oregon. I shoot an average of 40 coyotes a year from my upstairs den and bedroom deck. I use subsonic .22's so as not to scare the horses. Doesn't take much to kill a coyote.
