In my case the answer is no. However I'll bet some of you got new Christmas toys to share with the rest of the forum membership!

My father gave my son an old plain barrel 16 gauge 870 that belonged to his great, great uncle.

While they weren't quite model 500's, my dad did give my brother and I silver reserves in 28 gauge and .410.

My son got me a movie camera made for mounting on a helmet or handlebars. Besides pictures of my dogs on point you will be able to watch movies of my truly extraordinary shooting. I think I can mount it on the dog's collar also. It has some image stabilizing features and is water proof. Has a remote control.

I am going bobwhite hunting tomorrow and maybe I can get it mounted on the dog's collar or tape it to the bottom of my double barrel barrels.

I am glad to be here.

Mike, I gave my boy the same thing. I just hope it doesn't inspire him to jump off cliffs in a wing suit.

Probably GoPro's? I have been on the fence about buying one for myself. You will have to post some video and give us your impression.

Sabrina gave me a new pair of Steiner green armored 8x30 binocs, but I am still keeping the old Carl Zeiss JENA 7x35 binocs my late father passed down to me--Also a nice 3 figured Cabela's gift card, and I think I'm going to buy a new Leupold 4x12 Vari-X 111 with parallax for my latest varmint rifle- a Ruger M77 in 25-06. The girls gave me a Kindle HD thingy-- why, I do not know, as it doesn't take fotos or have a GPS or a range finder built in- so I am passing it over to my oldest granddaughter, Katie Mae O'Scanlon-- she can play Mickey Mouse games on it to her heart's content.

Oh, lord help us! Now I'll be force fed videos of Mike's dogs eating dinosaur turds. Enough is enough! Of course he will want to spend more of his time videoing me shooting his birds too......humm......

One thing is certain though--that camera won't make it through three hunts before it goes into the lost column. There is already an entire sporting goods store scattered around his hunting grounds. Reminds me of an open aired Goodwill store.
