Thinking of ordering one. Roughly $95 plus shipping. Any comments or alternate recommendations?

The Skeets bore gauge? It works well, you will need more than one of the basic model to cover the range of sizes

I think they might be made by Skeet's Gun Shop. They work fine. Many years ago I got one from Skeet's and had a longer 16" rod installed. Then, I taped a measuring tape to the rod so I could tell where I was measuring. Nice tool, but remember to keep the ball bearing part clean.

Hi, I also have a Skeets Gauge, works great, one of the best shotgun tools I have. I have the short rod version, I like it as the dial is less "jumpy" than the long rod one. Just a personal observation.
I know they also make a digital model, but never used it.
Either way, Skeets is an inexpensive way to go.
Good Luck!

Box it up with a wall thickness gauge and you are all set

As Dave mentioned they are out of stock on the 12/16 version, which is the one I need. Good to hear that it seems to do the job intended effectively.
OH, you are right. The next tool after this will be the wall thickness gauge. Saving my pennies to get a Hosford. Would be easier if I stopped buying guns and sending them to gunsmiths! Haha!

I'll give the Hosford wall thickness gauge a thumbs up too.

Both the bore and wall thickness gauges are the cheapest investments we gun grabbers can make. They have saved my rear any number of times, especially at gun shows where the buyer frequently has no recourse if the barrels prove faulty.
