We do have a 7 size. I buy and reload it all the time. Call your local Lawrance supplier and buy some.

Number 7 shot RULES!!! I bought 200 lbs. about six years ago and bitched the whole time about paying $14/bag.

Our North American Ammunition Companies seem to be continually trying to streamline and simplify their offerings. Looking through a lot of my old ammunition catalogues it seems No. 1 size shot was gone pretty soon after WW-I and the offerings of No. 3 were becoming few. During the 1930s No. 3 shot seems to disappear even with Elmer's love of it in his Ithaca NID Magnum-Ten!! In the early 1940s Western Cartridge Co. still offered a lot of loads with No. 7 shot, both chilled and Lubaloy but by the May 4, 1949, Western Cartirdge Co. price list only two loads are still being offered with No. 7. By the January 3, 1950, Western Cartridge Co. Price List load P267L is gone and load XT297 is "*Discontinued. Will be supplied until stock is exhausted." No. 10 and finer shot also has pretty much disappeared from our loading companies offerings. Seems like they tried to do away with No. 5 but it seems to be hanging in there with a few loads still being offered.

. During the 1930s No. 3 shot seems to disappear even with Elmer's love of it in his Ithaca NID Magnum-Ten!! I bought a bag of 3's 30 years ago. I got back 10 lbs. of it from the man I sold my NID Mag 10 when I swapped him back for the return of the 10 this fall. I haven't seen 3's in almost 3 decades. Ballistic Products has the 7's. They aren't cheap. Gil

To the best of my knowledge none of the big companies has offered 7's in my lifetime---a LONG time. You can buy 7's in Gamebore (English 6's) and, I think, RST's. If you handload Ballistic Products sells both lead and nickel 7's. I use lots of 7's, my favorite shot size, our local Sportsman's Warehouse usually carries them in lead. Must be wanting what you can't get, I used to shoot 3's and 1's for ducks/geese in the good ol' days of lead. Come to think of it, I still do in Steel and Tungsten Matrix.

Lawrence Shot markets #7 magnum shot even as we speak, and for a long time before. Ballistic Products, among other sources, sell it.
