I enjoy writing, I only wish I were better at it. My late wife, who was a middle school teacher, used to describe me as having classic ADD "Steve,look up ADD in the dictionary and you'll find your picture there!" But I digress, I like writing because it allows me to organize my thoughts. I never thought in a million years I'd be earning retirement income as a writer, but that's what I do, research and write about the latest unconventional oil plays going on around the world. Apparently, I have a gift for taking all that damned Latin and Greek geo-gobbledygook and making it interesting for non-geologists. I guess everyone has to be good at something. It would be fun to one day write about this journey I'm on. Now if only I can find a good editor to take care of my voodoo grammar.
