Rocdoc, what do the guys at Tucson Trap and Skeet charge you to use the RV space? Spaces cost $525 a month but that includes $100 worth of shooting privilege's at the club (which is located right across the parking lot). The club also has an onsite restaurant and other amenities. There are some really beautiful RV's parked here, if I were your run-of-the-mill yuppie social climber I'd be intimidated, but I'm not so it's not a problem. Here's a link to their site http://www.tucsontrapandskeet.com/facilities/rv-information/Steve

Good for you Steve.
If I remember correctly, Heat Moon had copy's of Leaves of Grass and Black Elk Speaks in his van.
Soak it all in and be safe on your journey.

I enjoy writing, I only wish I were better at it. My late wife, who was a middle school teacher, used to describe me as having classic ADD "Steve, look up ADD in the dictionary and you'll find your picture there!" But I digress, I like writing because it allows me to organize my thoughts. I never thought in a million years I'd be earning retirement income as a writer, but that's what I do, research and write about the latest unconventional oil plays going on around the world. Apparently, I have a gift for taking all that damned Latin and Greek geo-gobbledygook and making it interesting for non-geologists. I guess everyone has to be good at something. It would be fun to one day write about this journey I'm on. Now if only I can find a good editor to take care of my voodoo grammar. Steve

Hey, Steve
Here's hoping you have a wonderfull time on your journey.
Don't be a stranger down in mis-fires. We may be a bunch of misfits, weirdos, ne'er-do-well's and wackadoodle's--and perhaps the odd split personality maniac or two--but life would be kinda boring if we were all a bunch of Bible thumpin' goodie two-shoes.
Besides, there is a bit of a mystery/thriller of who Billious Bob is at the moment. (Could it be Dave Weber?!)
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I- I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. Robert Frost

Once your retired days and months don't seem to mean much, its just the seasons that need to be kept tract of, Fishing Season, Upland Season, Waterfowl Season and for some Big Game season. I'm glad all I have to keep tract of the first three and it's always Coyote Season somewhere.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
