Can anyone give me a rough price on what one of these in using condition costs? By using condition, I mean I want to use it, not for it to be a collectable or closet queen.
I hunt crows in a HUGE pecan orchard that has problems with hogs. I see hogs regaurlarly but I don't want to carry a pistol and a paradox gun would be a great working gun solution to this issue of killing hogs at 100 yds or so rather than try to kill them with a pistol.

I believe them to be pretty damn scarce, & so pretty damn pricey...
wild guess...if your talking vintage H&H sxs ..10-20 grand+ if you can find one?
I'd love to find a single bbl version

I saw one recently on one of the auction sites for something around 8 grand. From the pictures I would have called it a good user. It was in very good condition but I wouldn't have called it a collector. I agree with Mike. If 12 bore is your game I see several around in good CF cartridges, 30-06 and the like. I think they're clubby and unwieldy, much preferring the 16's and they can be had in 9.3 X 74R, a potent cartridge. Really good ones are also half what a Paradox or the Westley Richards....doggone it I forget what they're called....Explora? If you shop around you can cut that in half too.

With paradoxes the "magic" is in the barrels. Many of the lower priced Holland and Westley paradoxes seen at auction have problems that are more than cosmetic. Other makers also produced rifled choke guns after the Holland patent ran out and these can be a bargain in the 5k range when you can find one.

Look for European rifle/shotgun combination with rifle barrel for which ammunition is readily available. On nice ones rear sight blade pops up when rifle barrel is selected. Some also use folding peep sight as rear sight for rifled barrel shooting. Very KOOL.

Mike, I've had my eyes peeled for a nice single bbl 10/12bore at a decent price for a good while,would like to try it with round ball as is, or sleeve on a rifled bbl.A Greener GP might work too.Descent singles seem pretty hard to find.
Did you put a rifled bbl on that Jeffery?
The way they change from the flat sides to round just ahead of the chamber seems like it would work great for hiding the sleeve joint...how do it shoot?
