Can't blame you for not betting on opinions or feelings, myself. Now finally getting SS, the pay 'ain't what it used to be'!

I can't see any kg #'s other that the " P.1K397.9 ", and don't know what these stand for. where did you find the old catalog, I'd love to get a copy.

As an aside, I would like to compliment and thank (almost) all who freely add to this forum and enhance us all with their wisdom, the information and knowledge is incredible. I'm learning and trying to pass it on to my kids and grandkids.

I don't know what the P stands for but the 1K397.9 is barrel weight in kilograms which is, if my conversion memory is correct, 3lbs & just over an ounce.

3# 1.1 oz. is exactly what the barrels weigh. Still curious about what the Rado Budapest is about on a 1924 shotgun.

Obviously, there's a way to tell if the barrels were tampered with: weigh them, and if the weight is off more than a couple of grams, something has been added or went off...
