Vic, Parent cases are no problem, 9.3x74R cases are easy to get.I'm sure there is a standard width/depth for extractor grooves, but the easiest way to do it would be to grind a tool to match the groove in a sample case( 8mm,30-06,etc).It's not very critical anyway.Be sure to slug the bore before ordering special bullets, a lot of 9mm rifles take standard .358"bullets. sharps4590, I think this will be a great rifle. I had it bought but ended up bailing on the deal simply because of a miscommunication between my FFL holder and Salters. In the interim, I ended up buying a double rifle so let it go. Let us know what the bore slugs to. May be .350". I know this will be one rifle I regret letting go... 100% a good deal!

I think you're right, I certainly hope so. Being of the selfish bent I'm glad you ended up passing on it....lol!!! It should go out Monday and be here by late week and as soon as I slug the bore I will post it.

It's here....it's staying here...and I just got home so no pictures just yet.
Huvius...I believe I would take another double rifle over this Peterlongo mostly because I have a weakness for doubles. This is one nice Mauser though.
And the barrel slugs dead on .355.

I will. There's a Grizzly 4000 and the stand it goes on with 3 and 4 jaw chucks, 3 live centers, 4 dead centers, 3 different drill type chucks for the tail stock, several tools and tool holders and a bunch of stuff I have no idea what it's for. But it is by golly sitting in my shop!!!

Vic, Your lathe is well tooled with the most expensive "set up", and what ever else you may need won't be expensive or hard to make. Mike
