I agree it would seem that that Purdey,s interest in their founding fathers has diminished significantly since they became a corporate entity. Salopian,s comments would appear to confirm your thoughts. I for one whish Purdey, continued economic success. It is is the interest of potential customers in all that pertains to Purdey; its founders, inventions and prestige that attracts attention to the business. Company history is surely part of the sales equation!
Roy, as someone who has spent his career in the sales and marketing of consumer products, I think you are absolutely correct. Purdey's forgets it's past at it's peril.
