Agreed on your treatise, but my point was based on the supposition that it doesn't apply to this gun, i.e. it isn't supposed to be excessively thin. Therefore, as I stated before and Chuck re-stated, it should be possible to reline these barrels by removing the same amount of metal over their entire length as what will be replaced by the liner material. Also, I thought liners were more commonly used for excessive pitting rather than thinning, but it could be either. In the case of pitting, rather than thinning, again it would seem possible to remove the same amount (or nearly so) of metal as will be replaced with the liner. The gentleman never mentioned his bore dia., which would give a clue as to whether or not Teague can supply a liner that will bring it back to the same dimensions.
