I'd like to thank everyone who attended the spring shoot- we had 65 shooters, and it wouldn't have been anything without them . All the club members who helped put it on kept saying how nice all the shooters were and we're looking forward to the next one. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks again - Paul

Sounds excellent. For those of us involved with tax matters, timing earlier or later might get us there. Of course, road construction in Michigan was my biggest problem. Glad to hear you had a good turn out. Hope to attend next year.

Due to illness I had to leave the Lapeer County Sportsman’s Club before the dinner, but I thought the shoot was well run and lots of fun. Shot the clays and 5 stand. When I had to leave a lot the guys were shooting the incoming flurry and having a great time. Hope they have another double gun shoot this summer. Must say
Good Job Lapeer County Sportsman’s

This was my first sxs shoot and I really enjoyed it.......until my gun broke. (Knew I should have brought a spare!). I was only able to get a single round of skeet in but had a great time. Good guys and awesome guns.

Looking forward to the next shoot.

Phil

Philbert- you should have said something- I brought 9 guns in case someone wanted to borrow one. Next time just ask, I know two friends also brought guns to lend out. We'll have some kind of SxS shoot in June- maybe just a gathering without the dinner for those who want to sell, show off, or just shoot their SxS's. Paul

Paul,

Thanks for the offer. Next time I won't be "shy". I enjoyed it and hope to be able to make the one in June.

I don't know why I said in June- just looked in my briefcase and see July 28th written down. At my club, because it's multi-venue, I have to put in the first of the year for a date if it's a special event. Now, we could get togeather any Sunday when shotgun normally shoots- but for a Saturday I need board approval, and have it for July 28th.
I can't find my MUCC magazine right now, but Freeland, Mi. is having a "Gentlemens" shoot [ SxS] on April 14th. I should be getting a flyer real soon. Some of us from my club were thinking of going there. Also, is anyone familiar with " Capital Area Sportsmans League " around Lansing ? I'm told a bunch of SxS shooters shoot a " hunters " SC's course there that sounds like fun . paul

Paul,
I can't make the April 14th shoot. But keep us posted on the Lansing shoot. All the news I get on the west side is usually a day late.
