I have just acquired my first SxS and had a few questions.
It is an Ithaca NID 20ga #2 gun with two barrels. One is 1,2 & the other is 2,4 choke. All parts have the same serial number stamped and in my research the gun is a NID from 1948.
The stamping I have a question about is "X670" on the gun and on one of the barrels. The other barrel does not have this marking.
Also if this gun truly came new with two barrels...would the barrels have similar markings? The reason I am asking is one set had the "D" with what looks like a crown above it. The other does not have this.
