My problem with the idea is trying to tell which gun is which, pulling out several wrong guns before finding the one I want. I bought my safe without any interior and added wooden racks around the three sides to store them muzzle down. It has space for 22 or 24 guns. So far as I know, I've not put any dings in them. But, I don't have any really expensive guns. Maybe if I did, I'd think about casing the real valuable ones in socks. To me, it sounds like a complicated solution to a non-existent problem. JMO, of course.
