Gentlemen, I have a chance to buy a 1929 James Woodward over & under with 3 sets of original barrels,26",28",and 30" and factory oak & leather case with all accessories, made in 1929. The gun is in good original condition with a buttstock that has had a spacer and pad added long ago.I would say it is in 85% condition overall,but could be magnificent if put right. Anybody ever see one with 3 sets of bbls? They seem fairly often to have 2 sets.What would be the ballpark value of this gun? Thanks in advance, Marcus

50k easily if it is in good shape. Best O/U made period. They are called the Gunmakers choice for a reason. I have seen many of these and never seen a three barrel. Purdey can tell you if it started life as a three barrel.
