The recent posts on gun safes, etc...has got me thinking. I have been thinking of placing my guns in "socks" while in the safe. I have heard others do this, but wanted to ask this here. I have been looking for a high quality gun sock to purchase and see. I have the one's Cabela's sells, silicone impregnated, but have not used it on my high grade guns. Was curious as to the thoughts of you all?
With a crowded gun safe, removal of guns can be tricky as to not bump and nick the other guns around it. The sock seems to me at least, a good way to cushion the gun while in storage. The goldenrod will take care of the mositure issues in the safe, and as I said, some socks are manufactured with material that breaths and resists moisture. Curious about what others do, and if someone can recommend a good heavy gun sock for such a purpose.
