For some unfathomable reason I seem to have received my quarterly DGJ early. I need to record the position of the planets and major stars, I guess, for this is truly a noteworthy happening. Most noteworthy, though, because of the content. What an issue!!
It contains articles by no less than three of our distinguished forum members, on three fabulous guns. Craig Larter has a piece on a gorgeous Parker AAHE, Walter Snyder has fathered an article on a high condition Ithaca 4E, and Frank Srebro (Silvers) has graced us with a very well researched representation on a beautiful, rare and unique Fox pigeon gun. The photography and content in each of these is almost breathtaking.
Those of you not yet in possession of the Autumn issue have a very special one headed your way. Rarely do I find so many articles in an issue that pique my interest. Many others that I find interesting, also, are contained, with no less than two by Ross Seyfried and one by Sherman Bell. All DGJs are keepers, but this is an XE Grade Keeper!
Many thanks to the authors and the Cote's on this great edition.
Get ready, SRH
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Thank you, Stan, you've given me a reason to go on.......
I'll check my mailbox every day with expectation, and this will probably go on for 2 weeks! But it does sound like a great issue worth waiting for. Many Thanks for the heads up!

Arrived in Kansas on Friday, but I haven't had a chance to spend much time with it yet. Sounds like one to look forward to!

Stan, you must have released some mojo into the air; I pulled my Autumn DGJ out of my mailbox today.
And you were right - what an issue! I'm especially charged up about Sherman Bell's article on old percussion guns, which are near and dear to my heart. I just plain love 'em. Got 5 double shotguns and 1 double rifle. But I digress...Thanks again to you, Stan, for starting this early DGJ mailing!

Got mine yesterday. Haven't removed the plastic yet, but I certainly will tonight after reading your review.

It is especially nice to see ads for auctions that haven't passed already

Mine arrived in the hinterlands of the Ozarks today. I haven't had the chance to crack a cover yet but will before the day is through.
