Should I grease the extractors in my Parkers or should I just keep them clean? I sprayed Breakfree down the extractor tubes after removing them and used Q-tips to remove any residue. Grease may do more harm than good. Not sure.

Grease would likely be over-kill, and might gum up the works in really cold weather. Breakfree is fine, as would be a light oil.

I never put any lubricant in the extractor holes. Doesn't make any sense since there is virtually no friction or wear on that part. Why add another grime gatherer to your gun.....

The problem of lubricating extractor shafts or the holes has always been should I or shouldn’t I problem. My thumb opener Purdey has a rather unusual method of operating the extractors which are situated vertically between the two barrels via a linkage which is operated by a cut out in the action table. After using oil for some years I did notice that there was an accumulation of dirt in the linkage after a couple of days in the field, so my cure which I have been using now for many years is “Dry Gear Chain Lubricant” it is clean dry and works extremely well and does not attract dirt and grit.
The only lessons in my life I truly did learn from where the ones I paid for!

I think the dry lube route is probably best.
