What type of birds do you plan to hunt and where? Are you riding horseback, 4-wheeler, walking? Are you training them yourself or having it done? The reason I ask is the variables are more than two. I like Brittany's and Shorthairs for my type of hunting. If I lived in Texas I would probably use shorthairs more than Brittany's. BTW, I just picked up a new dog today...a Brit that was with American Brittany Rescue and worthy of better.
