any idea what it costs and who's best to fix a loose vent rib on a superposed? the rib is still good on both ends, just detached for 6" or so about 1/3 of the way up.

THANKS! actually not as bad as i thought it'd be but still bad enough. i swear it didn't appear loose when i bought it. i suspect someone superglued it back down or some such to get by long enough to sell it and the condition was so nice i wasn't suspicious enough to look closer.

Pretty common on the older guns, mostly round knob long tangs. The newer guns 70's or so used a different/better solder technique, eg, flat knob long tangs. The newer guns are better guns IMHO but oddly don't have the 'collector' value the old guns have.
Socialism is almost the worst.

Browning does not have a good reputation for fixing this problem while you are still interested. Send it to Art's.

Yep, pretty common thing with the Supers. I had one a few months ago a customer bought used, went and shot it a few times, then the rib popped. Upon me getting it someone had epoxied the rib. I charged $500 to resolder the top rib and slow rust blue the barrels. The customer didnt want to pay extra to resolder all ribs.
